Here’s a reportage from CNET France about transhumanism. If you watch, you will see that from minute 0:43, David Latapie, one of the interviewees is wearing a memetic tee :-).
Most of it is in french, of course.
David Latapie is the treasurer and the spokesperson of Technoprog, the French Transhumanist Association (French Wikipedia). He is particularly interested in technological empowerment for the masses and in open-sourcing the emerging technologies of the NBIC (Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Information technology and Cognitive science).
David contacted me by email telling me that he had bought one of my t-shirts and that he planned to appear with it in one interview for that channel.
I’m always glad to see one of memetic’s tees in pictures around the Web or posted to facebook and so I was when I saw it on cnet’s channel.
Well, the micro doesn’t let the design to be fully seen but here is the shirt:
And if you aren’t still ready to go as far as becoming posthuman you can always stay with the previous phase :-):
Go ahead and add any of these H+ t-shirts to your wish list.
I’ve been wanting to change the design of the site for a long time, mainly to address some problems that many people had using it and I felt that the site needed a face-lift not for aesthetic reasons but for usability and to unclutter the space. Usually when sites are redesigned, people behind the site hire somebody and launch a more impressive well finished site…not my case :-). I’m doing everything myself although the fact is that I don’t have much time and I loose steam time and again. So, although it’s not still finished and I want to make a lot of retouching I have decided to put it online with the basics and keep tweaking it. And yes, I still have to adapt the blog template to the new look.
Comments are welcome.

When I designed the Chatsubo Bar T-shirt back in 2008, I couldn’t have imagined that someday Mr. William Gibson would see one of them.
My jaw dropped when I saw this picture posted to my Facebook wall by Blake wearing his Chatsubo Bar T-shirt at a reading of Mr. Gibson at the University of Calgary in Canada.
What can I say? I admire Gibson and my designs are the result of my passion for the worlds he creates. Have you seen his funny expression? He looks like a great guy. I doubt that I’ll ever have a chance to be that close to him, but I am delighted that one of my designs -a tribute to his work- had that privilege.
Get a free laptop or netbook sleeve with a purchase of $40/40 € or more (max. value $16/16€).
There are quite a few ways to keep your laptop scratch free. Some choose to stylishly cover their laptop with stickers, while others give their mobile computer a “second skin” with a sleeve. Advantage of a sleeve: you definitely will keep your laptop snug and protected against bumps and scratches (also increasing the re-sell value). Disadvantage: you really can’t express your personality with a store-bought sleeve. But, not so with memetic sleeves! And this month that’s possible at an especially low price (it really doesn’t get lower than this).
To take advantage of this promotion, you must add your desired Netbook or laptop sleeve. Only when one of the netbook or laptop sleeves is added to the basket, will you be able to use the coupon code.
The coupon codes FREESLEEVE (for the U.S. and Europe) or CADFREESLEEVE (for Canada) are valid from September 6th through October 1st, 2010.
Only one sleeve per order, but during the promotion period, the regular price of sleeves will drop to $16/16€ !!!
Good news. Starting right now you can buy your shirts from the old world. The shirts are produced and shipped from Germany, which means a lower cost and faster delivery. And best of all, now the coupons are also valid for those who live in Europe. Suppliers are not the same, so tee brands and prices have no direct equivalence with shirts sold in the USA, but it’s the same quality and same good service.
The next coupon starts on September 6, so be sure to come back.
From July 30th thru August 1st, 2010 – FREE standard shipping (Canadian orders will receive a shipping discount up to $9.50) Simply enter the coupon code FREEWEEKEND (for the U.S.) or CADFREEWEEKEND (for Canada) in the check-out area of your basket and save!
Frank has reported a problem with the coupon: From July 12th to July 30th, you get a FREE Messenger bag with a purchase of $40 or more. He’s receiving: “Sorry, this coupon is not valid for the chosen product(s).”
I’m trying to discover what happened. Meanwhile, here’s how it works:
The coupon is valid for US and Canada.
Simply pick a number of tees or other product to reach $40, that can be just 2 t-shirts, at least one regular fit ($18) and one AA ($22.95) , then add the Messenger bag to the basket and enter the coupon code when going through checkout.
I’m very sorry, maybe it wasn’t clear enough. By now I have put the explanation in the banner. If anybody did a $40 order but didn’t add the bag, just cancel the order.
Do not hesitate to contact me for whatever.
UPDATE: The problem was with trying to apply the coupon without adding the bag first.
