Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Memetic Tees respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you use this website.

Who we are

Memetic Tees is operated by Carlos De María, based in Spain. The data controller is Carlos De María. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at info@memetictees.com. Postal address: Carlos De María, Mossèn Jaume Sala 18, 08303 Mataró, Barcelona, Spain.

Information we collect

When you use the Contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. We may also process limited technical information required to secure the form and prevent abuse.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect the information you provide for that purpose. Newsletter consent is separate from contacting us.

If you leave a comment, WordPress collects the information shown in the comment form and technical data needed to detect spam.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to messages you send us.
  • Protect the website against spam and abuse.
  • Send newsletters only when you have explicitly subscribed.
  • Maintain and improve the website.

Measurement and your choice

This site measures nothing until you allow it.

The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept measurement. Until you answer, this site loads nothing from Google or from any other third party, and makes no request to them. If you decline, no analytics code ever runs.

If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and designs people look at. Google receives your IP address, which it uses to derive an approximate location and then discards. We do not use it for advertising, we do not run remarketing, and it is not connected to any advertising product.

Your answer is stored in your own browser and never sent to us. You can change it at any time from the Cookies link in the footer.

Cookies and local storage

Before you accept measurement, this site stores exactly one thing in your browser: your answer to the banner. It stays on your device.

If you accept measurement, Google Analytics sets its own cookies. If you use the shop, Spreadshirt sets the cookies its basket and checkout need.

The shop

The shop pages embed a storefront operated by Spreadshirt (sprd.net GmbH). When you browse, order or pay, you are dealing with Spreadshirt: they process your order, payment and shipping information as their own data controller, under their own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.

Spreadshirt also sends statistics about shop activity to our Google Analytics property.

Service providers

We use service providers that may process personal information on our behalf, including:

  • Hostinger for website hosting.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile for form abuse prevention.
  • Google Workspace for email.
  • Mailchimp for newsletter subscriptions.
  • Google Analytics for website statistics, only after you accept measurement.
  • Spreadshirt (sprd.net GmbH) for the shop, order fulfilment and payment.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we rely on the safeguards provided by those providers for international data transfers.

Retention

Contact messages are retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is required to handle the request or meet a legal obligation. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe. Comments remain public unless removed through moderation or a valid deletion request.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@memetictees.com.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be available on this page.
